Are there any parts of the story you would have written differently if you were the author of Stargirl? If yes, what would you change? If no, why would you leave things the same?

so far, i think the book is very well detailed and that is has a very good storyline. I have read some of jerry spineli's work before and he is one of my favorite authors.I think this book is very good because when you read it, you are able to come up with different questiions that hold a mystery within them that will later on be answered.
ReplyDeleteThe book Stargirl so far is very good.The book is interseting and I Always want to read more! Just the character herself and the things she does is weird but fun to read.For example at one time in the book she was dancing in the rain and cheering for the other teams.

DeleteI think the book is interesting so far but i think it gets confusing when the childrentalk to Archie. if I was the author of Stargirl I would have made Leo a little braver and not worry so much about what everyone else thinks. I think i relate to Leo the most because I'm sort of shy and I sometimes worry about what others think of me.
ReplyDeleteNo there is not anything that I would change so far in the book becauseit is very well written. the author has chosen very good adjectives do describe emotions and things that happen in the story.
ReplyDeleteI think I would have rewritten a few parts of the book if I were the author.One part that I might have changed is the whole part with Archie and the cactus.I would have changed this part of the story because the thngs he says are really confusing and hard to understand what he is trying to say.

DeleteThe book, Stargirl, is a very interesting book. The character Stargirl is odd but interesting to read about. I like how the things we only think about doing in our wildest dreams, she erases all fear and embaressment from her mind and does it in front of milloins of people. For example, she cheers for the other team and her team everytime someone scores. Also she dances in the rain and owns a rat named Cinnamon. I dont know about you but i dont see people dancing in the rain or walking around with a rat on their shoulder!
ReplyDeleteThe character in the book I relate to the most is leo. I relate to him because I have been in the same situations he has. Not where he is in love but for the tv show he tries to stay unnoticed by stargirl because she is weird. I have tried to stay unnoticed by this really creepy girl that goes to this school. She knows who I am but I really dont like her at all because she freaks me out!
ReplyDeleteFirst Q.: I think so far the book "stargirl" is been a real funny story about about a strange girl that came to Mica High, She always know when someones birthday is and sing happy birthday to them at lunch time.;)
ReplyDeleteSecond Q.: I would change the part when "stargirl" gave everyone a valentines day card and gave leo a special "I LOVE U" card because he is getting embarrased by stargirl and everyone thinks that "stargirl" likes leo and people are calling him "STARBOY" now.:(
Last Q.: I'm kind of related to "stargirl" because sometimes when i'ts raining and I want to get my hair wet and I want to make my mom made because she says that don't get my hair wet because it hardens it I out side and get all my hair wet but I don't dance but i'ts like "stargirl" and also sometimes when I know someones birthday I sing Happy B-day to them but not with a ukelele.:)

I think that I am most like Hillari,Leo,Kevin,and Stagirl.I think I am like Hillari because I like to share my opinions and there not always nice. I can be like Leo because when I meet new people i can be shy. Also, I can be like Kevin because sometimes I like to be the center of attention.Finally I guess i would kind of be like Stargirl because sometimes I can be a little "out there".

1. What i think about stargirl is that i like it because it kind of relates to my life because my brother is like leo and his girl friend stacey is like stargirl so it is like my life . this is why i think it is like my life and why i like.

4. Some addtionalthoughts that i have are stargirl is a dance and singing girl. For example, when school started she song a song and danced to the song she sang.

DeleteQUESTION NUMBER 1). So far I think that the book is very good because stargirl acts the way she feels but other people just act like other people because they want to fit in. Another reason why I think the book is good is because people in mica high just like a lot of drama. Why I dont really know but these people are like drama prones.
ReplyDeleteQUESTION NUMBER 2). There is only 1 part in the story that I would change if I were Jerry Spinelli. Some parts that I would change is that part when someone through a tomato at stargirl, I would change that to everyone is cherring on stargirl because they finally understand her. I would change that part because in the book it sounded like someone was bleading on her or something happened and she was about to die because if I look at all of the Jerry Spinelli books that I have read that is something that he would do.
QUESTION NUMBER 3). The character that I relate to the most would be a mix between stargirl and leo. I think that because with leo I like to meet new people but at the same time I am shy like him too. Dont even get me started about stargirl almost every day people call me weird but I take it like a compliment because everyone is weird sometimes.

Delete1.I like this book alot,it is very interesting. Having Stargirl going through these rough times of getting kicked off the cheerleadng squad and everyone ignoring her, she still stays positive and i think that that could be kinda like a connection to some people, but they arent going threw it as well as her. They could try and handle it like Stargirl and be positive about the situation.I also like how this book has a little bit of everything in it.For example it has Drama such as when Hillari Kimble didnt like how Stargirl was the star of the cheerleading sqaud at one point, also the hotseat and the incident that happened there with Stargirl ,everyone asking her mean questions, such as 'Why cant you be normal?"
ReplyDelete2.No , i wouldnt change how anything was written in this story. I think this book is well written. The parts fit in with this type of novel so well ! For example if there is a question I was asking myself about the story it would get answered as I read on. Obne of the questions I had was ' Why as everyone ignoring stargirl?' it got answered later on in the story, and I found out that it was because they believed that she was too different , they also believed she was the reason the basketball season went down hill.
3.The character I can relate to the most would be Stargirl. The reason I say this is because when Stargirl is getting talked about behind the back, she takes doesnt even act like she cares , she doesnt become negative . Stargirl stays positive !! In 5th grade I got talked about ,i stayed positive and everything was fine. Now if I wouldve went negetive then I probably wouldve not been as fine as I was.
Alexis,I think I some what relate to Stargirl to for the sames reasons.:) Because one time last year some one was also talking about me and I treid my best to stay calm and I worked and everything was ok

I love everything about this book but not when Hillari attempts to drop Cinnamon over the railing of the stairs.I think thats mean and cruel to do to someones pet but then again why would you bring your pet to school because you might get it taken away or you might loose it!!!

If I were the author of this book I think I would change Star girl into the most buetiful girl! How Leo described her she didn' seem that pretty. I think this would put a nice twist on the story because she would be so buetiful and it might add to the action and it might be more intresting but other than that I probably would not change anything because this book is so good! I think I can relate to Leo the best because if he were a girl and star girl was a guy I think I would feel the same way about the problem he is in. I would feel the same way he does because if I loved someone that was really weird and everyone started to ignore me because of it I would be very upset and probably sad like him!:(
